Why should you visit Xining in Qinghai...
- Qinghai is a Chinese province on the border with Tibet; Tibetan's strong cultural traditions are apparent.
- Xining is a very wealthy city with excellent shopping malls, and restaurants.
- There are jaw dropping mountains that have dazzling green pastures and snowy peaks.
- Qinghai was in the Han dynasty in 206 BC–220 AD; there are lots of temples and mosques carrying years of Chinese religion and traditional history.
- It is very cold there because of the mountain ranges; It’s 6 to -12 degrees in December, so you might see snow if you visit at that time.
- Some of it's most popular attractions include: Qinghai lake, Ma Bufang Residence, and the Tibetan Medicine Culture Museum.
If you would like to go, we have a whole cheap trip planned for Qinghai's capital city, Xining.
Things to keep in mind when you visit Qinghai...

- Qinghai time is 5 hours behind New Zealand time, except in daylight savings where it's six hours behind NZ time.
- 2,208,708 people live there.
